It is with great enthusiasm that we announce a new service for your patients; an integrative approach to full-body healing using Massage Therapy and Chronic Pain Management Coaching. This, together with the services you already provide, will enable your patients to become more resilient and get their life back. They will find an increase in their pain relief, while building the tools necessary for sustainable pain management. The combination of our work and yours will enable patients to address and overcome physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual blocks to healing. According to the American Academy of Pain Medicine’s website, “Six out of ten patients said they experienced breakthrough pain one or more times daily, severely impacting their quality of life and overall well-being.” Does this sound like your patients? Massage Therapy and Life Coaching will help. More and more pain patients are turning to alternative therapies to relieve their pain. We don’t want to be an alternative; we want to complement what you are already doing. “In 1997, a U.S. health survey showed that 47% of the people polled in a consumer survey used massage therapy to relieve and manage their pain, and 91% said massage therapy was effective in reducing pain.” (Carlson, Sylvia 2006). According to the American Pain Foundation website, “Ongoing pain can cause you to lose your appetite, feel weak and depressed…Managing your pain is an important step to reclaim your life and ensure it does not control you.” Chronic Pain Management Coaching teaches patients how to better manage a life with chronic pain.
Solutions for Chronic Pain is a collaborative, multi-disciplinary, and integrative program designed for individuals who are living with chronic pain; affecting their physical, emotional, mental, and/or spiritual well-being. This innovative program decreases pain and increases resiliency, self-efficacy, and motivation for healing through massage therapy, chronic pain management coaching, workshops, education, and resources. Together, we will address the needs of the “whole person” by integrating western medicine (provided by you); therapeutic body healing; and mind, emotion, and spiritual healing and renewal (provided by us).

Our integrative approach to healing, managing chronic pain, and returning to activities of daily living WORKS! We measure our success with patients/clients through the following tools:
- Using our Assessment Worksheet and Log, we are able to determine pain levels, increased range of motion, and return of the body to proper alignment in order to continuously monitor improvements and challenges and to meet the needs of the patient/client.
- Goals and objectives are initially created during the “intake and assessment” session with each patient/client. These goals and objectives serve as a guideline for the treatment plan and are monitored throughout the treatment for success.
- Each coaching session begins with a review of both the long-term treatment goals and the goals for each session. At the end of each session, there is a review of aha’s and successes, information and tools, and goals and steps for the next session.
- Using the standard 1-10 scale, patients/clients are asked to rate the following at each session: pain level, stress level, exercise frequency, sleep, appetite, mood, interactions with others, alcohol/drug use, finances, and spiritual connection.
- Following the three-month treatment plan we will conduct an evaluation of treatment goals and objectives, overall pain levels, mind/emotional wellness, and spiritual renewal and connection. Did the patient/client meet their goals and objectives and do they feel better? Have they decreased their need for medications? Do they have an increase in their activities of daily living? Did we make a difference?
